About

The Let's Rebuild Community Project 2023 seeks to revitalize homes and our community though supporting low income seniors, veterans, and persons with disabilities in protecting their home as an asset and a source of pride. They seek to make repairs that are high impact and high aesthetic value while improving safety and health in and around the home. The program relies on the labor of volunteers to assist in project completion.

For 2023, four homes have been identified in Calumet and Laurium. The final day of work has been rescheduled due to rain to Saturday, August 19th. Lunch will be provided to the volunteers and each person will also receive a free t-shirt. Volunteers should meet at Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet (26016 Depot Street).

All necessary tools needed as well as gloves, water, and snacks will be provided. Please wear durable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty as well as closed-toed, durable shoes.

Every volunteer will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
